I am a writer who used to use the pseudonym "Kaho Nakamura". I write Science Fiction & Fantasy stories. I also do a little Python coding on the side.

Site update

Stopped by to update the site. I have not been here in over two years, and thought I should use it for more that just an anchor for my domain name. Contact email address has been updated so I should receive notices about any comments left. I know it has been a log time, I will be returning to working on A Little Fox Tale very soon. In the mean time, I ask for you to have a little patience.

Thank you!

Never here.

That describes my infrequent visits pretty accurately.  I really have too much going on in my life to  update this site much.

Also, I have been looking into publishing my writings on Amazon Kindle.  To that end, I have pulled nearly all of my writings off this site.  If I decide to go with KDP Select, I am not allowed to have parts or all of the novel posted for reading and/or download.

I recently saw a comment asking if I read the comments.  And the fact is that I only rarely see the comments posted.  That has to do with the fact that the website I registered the site under is rarely checked.  As soon as I fix that issue, I will start seeing the comments sooner.

Site updated and new writing software being used.

I have added a few more stories that are in progress including a few chapters of the rewrite of A Fox Tale.  I was also finally able to unhide the first three chapters of A Little Fox Tale.

If you have trouble getting to any of the chapters, leave a comment so I can fix it.

~~~~~~~~
I spent all weekend testing various writing software that will run in Linux, since that is my operating system of choice.  Plume-Creator, Bibisco, and the Linux beta of Scrivener.  Of the three Bibisco had some of the best support for character building, as well as tagging chapters.  The problem is that I cannot update the dictionary to add words, and the database based storage format is unwieldy with Dropbox.  After tinkering with Scrivener, I discovered that over all I like it as the tool of choice.  Note that the Beta has been discontinued and will not be updated anymore.  On the other hand it doesn’t expire.  Until I want to get the Windows version running in Wine, it will do.
Breaking Radio Silence.
So, I have purposely kept a low profile while I had a story submitted to Fencon’s Short Story Contest.  I am finally breaking Radio Silence because I have been notified that the judging is over and my story was not one of the three finalists.  In the next day or so, I will be posting that story here for everyone to enjoy.
Also by request, I will finally get around to posting “A Little Fox Tale” for reading.  A reminder, all stories posted here are copyrighted and I retain and reserve all rights.  That means you cannot download or copy my stories, package them up in any form (pdf, ebook, print) and sell or even give them away.  That is a violation of copyright.  If you want others to enjoy my stories, send them to this website to read them.
Old domain going away.
My old domain fox-tales.net will be going away in a few days.  I will be migrating my stories from there to here.  I also have several new stories I am working.  How many, if any, will be posted here still remains to be seen.  I may post the first few chapters of each as teasers.
